Even in the post-pandemic world of open travel, Hastings Equity needed a more efficient, impactful solution for their annual investor meeting.
Awakened Films delivered a comprehensive solution by filming key video assets of the Hastings Equity team and crafting internal messaging for a one-hour corporate video livestream. To further enhance the production, the team traveled across the U.S. to capture corporate overview videos showcasing Hastings’ portfolio investments. Filming began in Rhode Island, capturing the bulk of the internal messaging for this investor annual meeting live stream. Scripts were written and teleprompters used to help staff members present complex information in an engaging and fluid manner.
Awakened Films then traveled to Washington D.C. to film several roundtable discussions with influential thought leaders in the renewable energy, telecommunications, and cable industries.
Three portfolio companies were selected to be featured in the investor relations video, showcasing the diversity and impact of Hastings Equity’s investments. Awakened Films traveled to the Midwest and West Coast to capture compelling corporate overview videos for each company.
In California, a tree services company was filmed during a series of intense storms, providing the opportunity to capture dramatic visuals of crews removing downed trees from a busy highway. Next, a road sign construction and driver safety company highlighted its innovative solutions for improving roadway awareness. Finally, a traffic control company specializing in road cones and traffic management systems showcased its essential role in creating safer work zones.
Interestingly, the latter two companies later merged, and Awakened Films re-edited their company story videos for the announcement and launch of their rebrand. By investing in storytelling Hastings Equity’s demonstrated their commitment to helping its portfolio companies to thrive.
